Welcome to the cri🅱️
Lol so I put dreadlocks in for a day so voilà the reason for the title (pic down below)
This week had a lot of ups and downs but my testimony of the atonement was really strengthened by the story of our friend camillia
We found Camillia while tracking (going up to a house and yelling "iaorana") tbh at the beginning of my mission I was very big on "normal and natural" and I would always try to have a normal reason to talk to someone but sometimes it simply isn't natural. So we walked right up to their gate and said "we have a message about Jesus Christ" so camillia came out on crutches, we talked and shared a scripture and then set another appointment. The next lesson we asked her if she wanted to get a blessing for her legs, and she accepted. We did the blessing at the church and right before the elders started our member walked in (she'll come in later) in the blessing it said that this is exactly where God wants her to be with the exact people. After the blessing our member and Camillia started talking. Our member had very similar experiences to her and helped her so much to open up. She said some pretty awful things to hear. She told us that she cheated on her husband and because she did that she told her husband that he could use her body to take his anger out (domestic abuse) hence the reason that she is on crutches with an eye that doesn't work. It made me so sad to hear that someone would do that to another person. It made me think of the atonement of Jesus Christ and how without it, it would be us suffering for all of our mistakes that we've made. Camillia made a mistake, WE ALL DO. That's when Satan wants us to use the "eye for an eye" but we all have the gift atonement which pays the price for all sins and all mistakes. Pray for camillia!
Life is hard but how much harder would it be without Jesus Christ.
